Welcome to Northglenn United Church of Christ!

Sunday Worship Service at 10:30 a.m.

We are an open and affirming community of faith and our location is accessible to all.

Our congregation is small enough to ensure that everyone is known and welcome. Every 4th Sunday, we have a potluck and enjoy spending time together.

The Women's Fellowship is the heart of the church, maintaining the Prayer Chain and coordinating food for many events.

The Missions Committee is responsible for our outreach to our local community and there are many ways to get involved.

Any one in the community is welcome to use our Labyrinth for contemplation.

Statement of Faith

"As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to reach out to all people in our community and in our world, who may, by our deeds of loving, caring, and serving come to experience God's love and find more meaning, strength and peace in everyday living."

Ecumenical and Community Building Partners

Our building comes alive many times during the week as we share our facilities with the following
churches and community groups:

- The Church of the Beloved Ecumenical Catholic Church
- Holy Passion Fire Church

- The Girl Scouts

- Colorado Pop Rock Choir

Northglenn History

In the last part of the 1950's, the town of Northglenn was started. It would be a suburb north of Denver.

Under the auspices of the newly formed United Church of Christ and with the help of Rev. Laurence Ebert, the Northglenn United Church of Christ launched in 1960.

As the city grew so did the church. Membership increased and the mortgage was retired. Members of the Women's Fellowship worked increasingly to build a larger kitchen, and their goal was reached when the fellowship hall was added to the church.

The plan for a labyrinth was designed and the labyrinth and memorial garden were created for the use and enjoyment for the entire community.

Community Labyrinth & Memorial Garden

We welcome everyone to walk our beautiful outdoor Labyrinth and Memorial Garden.

Labyrinths are ancient walking mediation pathways that have been used for thousands of years by many different religious traditions.

There are instructions on site on how to walk a labyrinth. Our labyrinth is wheelchair accessible.

"Not only is the labyrinth a place of healing and makes one feel enlightened,

but the memorial plants bring it alive with beauty and spirit.

When I go to the labyrinth, I feel the spirit of God.

With memorial plants the spirits of others also live on."
